Every fictional empire that ever lost a battle station lost it the same way: the plans got out. Somebody kept the blueprints lying around, somebody else walked off with them, and the rest is a very expensive lesson in document retention.
Your business probably isn’t guarding a superweapon. But it is guarding pay stubs, patient charts, client files, bids, and price lists — and the people who want those don’t need a rebel fleet. They need one unlocked recycling bin and five minutes.
The fix costs less than the risk: keep sensitive paper in a locked container, destroy it on-site where you can watch, and keep the Certificate of Destruction as proof the plans never left the building intact.
